Texas rapper Tay-K is currently in prison serving a 55 year sentence for his involvement in a deadly 2016 robbery, but his time behind bars hasn’t stopped his musical career completely. Last week, Tay-K appeared on the outro to Dominic Fike’s latest album How to Quit Smoking, and now he’s announced his first album in 10 years with his newest single “F**K U”. Watch the album trailer above.
“F**K U” follows 2026 singles “PUNCH YOU DOWN," "Everywhere I Go," and "Erupt.” Produced by the 26-year-old rapper himself alongside John Cunningham and Warpstr, “F**K U” reflects on Tay-K’s childhood along with his experiences while in prison. Those themes were also front and center on Fike’s “SPOTLIGHT / INNER CHILD.”
#MonstersUnderMyBed arrives after three years of musical ideation in prison, and came together through constant collaboration over the phone with Cunningham and Warpstr. In a press release, Tay-K said he hopes that his newest album will “reclaim [his] right to artistic expression that was manipulated by the justice system.”
Tay-K’s new album is set to be released on all platforms on November 13.
