This is an awesome article. I heard my first phoenix song on the radio today, and was quite intruiged so I googled the band for some more info… I’m very glad this is the article I stumbled upon! Great insight into the band, life in general, and music’s impact on life! Especially enjoyed the last paragraph.

great article. LOVE this band. one of my favorite new artists to emerge this year. has anyone heard about their private show in nyc on 12/3? i believe it’s being hosted by iheartradio. at least that’s what my boyfriend said. i want to go!!!

This is a great article! I’m a Parisian living away from home and it made me so nostalgic. A great depiction of that Phoenix magic too. They do seem like really nice guys.

Peter, I loved your article. I saw Phoenix twice this year and I’ve read a bunch of interviews/articles on them, but this one stands out …. great details, great questions, great discussion of “Phoenix fandom” … bravo!
