DJ Mujava broke through a couple years ago with the unrelenting Pitori house of "Township Funk", but he has taken a noticeably measured approach in the follow-up, new songs occasionally appearing on YouTube but not much officially out—until now. "Mugwanti/Sgwejegweje" will be out on Selektive out of the Netherlands and will appear almost everywhere else on Outhere Records' Ayobaness EP. German production duo Schlachthofbronx, whose name when spoken out loud sends saliva flying, put together a remix of "Sgwejegweje" that strips the original down even further. And coincidentally (or not), the duo's own Ayoba EP will be out on March 1st through Man Recordings and features our man in SA, Spoek Mathambo, on the title track.
