Video: Killer Mike, “Grandma’s House”

June 02, 2010

Possibly one of the smartest moves TI made was signing Killer Mike (Mike Bigga? Which one is it now?) to Grand Hustle. He's an artist with an established fanbase, and while he will probably never have a massive radio hit again, he doesn't need to. Killer Mike's music is lasting. Case in point, this is a song from Pledge Allegiance to the Grind 2, which is now a couple years old, but it still sounds as fresh as when it came out. We're normally bigger fans of when dude sounds like he's going to punch through every wall in our home just to shake and yell at us in rhyme form about how we could be better people, but it's a nice balance to hear—and see—him look so frustrated with himself, so deeply pained, as he thanks his grandmother.
