The appeal of Blonde Redhead for us has always been that on the surface their music seems icily detached and too cool for school, but the more time you spend with it the more warm and inviting and familiar it seems. Kinda like realizing the hottest girl in school is actually the chillest too or something. Pantha Du Prince? Same vibe. Except his warmth is more immediately apparent. Here he brings back his obsession with bells and cut up washes of warm ambiance, stretching out Blonde Redhead's track into a 10+ minute jammer perfect for knitting a winter quilt.
