Why Did Frank Ocean Turn Down Work With Kanye West?

Odd Future member and Def Jam-signee Frank Ocean is no stranger to the Roc—he penned "I Miss You" for Beyonce’s 4 and was featured on two tracks on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne. But when it comes to his own currently untitled full-length, Ocean is not interested in collaborating with West. He recently told BBC Radio One's Zane Lowe,

I said, 'As much as I want to work with you… I kind of want to do this without you. I kind of want this to be done without you. I kind of want to do it on my own. The record is written, we're just trying to tie up all the production... Get everything sonically pleasing to me.
