Last night, we concluded our Step Into The Black concert series with legendary '90s alt-rockers The Afghan Whigs at brand new West Hollywood hot spot Bootsy Bellows. Part owned by David Arquette, the venue was only open for one night before hosting our event. By 9PM, there was a line stretching all the way down Sunset Boulevard and by 9:15 the floor was packed and everyone had a Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum cocktail in hand. After DJ Yung Skeeter got the crowd hyped, there was a surprise set from Young L followed by the Afghan Whigs' first LA show in 13 years. Everyone sang along during their intimate 45-minute set of fan favorites and a few covers, including a rendition of Frank Ocean’s "Love Crimes". Since we were in Cali, we had to get some double-doubles, so we had the In-N-Out truck serving them up outside the venue all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better finale. Thanks LA!
