Interview: Young Chop

Young Chop is loud and squiggly, with a generous laugh. The teenage producer behind "I Don't Like," "Love Sosa" and "Hate Bein Sober" (plus since-retracted tweets challenging Keef and Kanye West, who roguely remixed "Don't Like") stopped by FADER offices last week, where he waved at the interns like a victorious politician and squirmed around on our couch. From his perch, he talked about the importance of a good laugh in the studio, lapping up hometown attention and the grime and melody that makes his beats feel new.
