Video: Robin Thicke f. T.I. and Pharrell, “Blurred Lines”

March 25, 2013

We missed Robin Thicke's great, now five-day-old video in a post-Austin hurricane of urgent tasks, but it's certainly still worth a first or fifteenth watch. "Blurred Lines" is a Pharrell-produced, snap-and-popping reboot of Marvin Gaye's "Got To Give It Up." Its video pairs Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell with a trio of PVC-diapered models. All six performers deliver top-notch wiggles, but T.I. might be the most fun to watch, brushing the blonde's hair with his other arm stretched toward heaven, feet in a James Brown shuffle. Meanwhile, Thicke borrows a move from Riff Raff, whose piercing blue eyes he also shares, by welcoming toes near his mouth and singing into them. All in all, an enticing taste of Thicke's still-untitled sixth album, presumably due out this year. Head over to SPIN for a nice rundown of the GIFs.
