Video: DJ Sliink Talks About His Early Days as a Producer and His Name's Origin

As the Mad Decent Block Party continues its tour with the help of PUMA, New Jersey's own DJ Sliink took some time to talk about how he got his name (spoiler alert: he sort of got it from Toy Story) and how he became who he is today— namely a dude that creates really great, sparse club music that manages to retain unsettling melodies even as it stays so minimal it's almost skeletal. If you're unfamiliar with his music, you'll hear a good amount of it in this video, and we'd be surprised if you didn't want to see him play as soon as possible afterwards. There's still a few dates of the Mad Decent Block Party left, get your tickets while you still can.
