Lil B celebrated his FADER cover with a song, and now Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes is honoring his own with a hour-long mix of songs that influenced the sound of his new album, Cupid Deluxe. The mix lives beautifully in that 1980s sweet spot that Hynes loves so much, with songs from Afrika Bambaataa and Malcolm McClaren. He also threw in some unreleased Blood Orange music that didn't make it on to Cupid Deluxe, some live vocals from girlfriend and collaborator Samantha Urbani, plus a slowed-down mix of one of his favorite Michael Jackson songs and an unlikely Jackson pick, 2001's "Butterflies." Listen below, and read our brand new cover story on Hynes here.
