YG and Kendrick Lamar open up about why they “Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)” on the latest cut off YG’s My Krazy Life.

March 13, 2014

Last night while YG was onstage at The FADER Fort Presented by Converse with special guests and fellow Angelenos Ty Dolla $ign and Snoop Dogg, a new Left Coast-leaning song from his forthcoming debut My Krazy Life arrived courtesy Hot 97's Funk Flex. Over a low-riding, G-funk production by Ty Dolla $ign, YG and his fellow Comptonite Kendrick Lamar get open about why they "Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin)." Not always for the fun of it, that's for sure: If I don't make it with this rap shit, nigga, I might be homeless, the often genial YG sounding on edge confesses; Kendrick, meanwhile, figures I'm grindin' cause drug money ain't like rap money, our white kilo snow bunny equal one whole show, dummy. Rap game stressful. My Krazy Life drops next Tuesday, March 18.
