Listen to Mary J. Blige’s Disclosure-Produced New Single “Right Now”

The R&B singer gets some help from the Lawrence brothers on a cut from ‘The London Session.’

September 05, 2014

A few days ago, we learned that Mary J. Blige had tapped Guy and Howard Lawrence, bka Disclosure, as well as recent FADER cover star Sam Smith and British songwriter Jimmy Napes for some behind-the-scenes work on her factually-titled new project, The London Sessions. Today, she shared "Right Now," our first taste of that collaborative effort that finds the sweet spot between Disclosure's raunchy dance-pop and the R&B legend's distinctive, soulful style. This isn't the first time they've worked together, though; Blige stepped in the studio to record fresh vocals on an alternate version of Disclosure's Settle highlight, "F For You," earlier this year. "Right Now," streaming above, was co-written by Smith and Napes.
