Birdman walked out of a short, very hostile, interview with The Breakfast Club this morning. But yesterday, he opened up to Angie Martinez in a 30 minute interview.

The rapper and CEO discussed being orphaned as a child, being mentored by Louis Farrakhan, and his upcoming albums. He also spoke about why he dislikes coming to New York, citing the state’s strict gun laws: “I sleep with a strap under my pillow, in my dresser, and on my drawer.” Although he did mention that he was very into Maino and Uncle Murda’s Yellow Tape mixtape, as well as 50 Cent’s “I’m The Man”.
