Post Malone Debuts "Go Flex" Video

And chats about Justin Bieber, Minecraft, and basketball.

April 28, 2016

Here’s the video for “Go Flex,” the new single from Post Malone which sounds, in a cool way, a little like the Pixies and a little like what that guy with a guitar was singing in the college common room. Directed by James DeFina and Chris Velona, it’s got Texas flags, desert fires, and what looks like Neegan’s baseball bat.

“‘Go Flex’ is really just about stuntin, showing you got the sauce,” Post told The FADER via email. “It’s just about going out with your friends, turning up, feeling super cool.” Produced by Charlie Handsome and Rex Kudo, the song’s also a sign of things to come from Post’s upcoming debut album, due via Republic in the coming months. The album, Post said, will be “culmination of all the sounds that represent” him—”folk, country, hip-hop,” and more guitar playing.

Watch above. Below, Post chats about Minecraft, how Sublime is lit, the playoffs, and his favorite song by tourmate Justin Bieber.

What’s your favorite Justin Bieber song?
“Baby”! It’s classic.

Do you like Sublime?
Of course. They’re still one of my favorites. They're super lit.

Do you play Minecraft?
Yes. I play all my games still. We got a PS3 on the bus and we’re playing something different every day on the road.

Who are you rooting for this playoffs season?
Since Dallas lost I’ve gotta reevaluate and then make my decision on who's going all the way.

Who’s the best white basketball player of all time?
I mean Jason Williams had the sauce . He has to be my number 1. Gotta throw Dirk [Nowitzki] on that list. Dallas is the hometown so I'm always going to fuck wit Dirk.
