Adele had previously been nervous about playing a headlining show at Glastonbury. In a 2015 interview with NME, the singer said, "The crowds are too big – I don't know if I could do it."

It seemed as though Adele conquered her apprehension tonight, as she addressed the large crowd gathered at the festival's Pyramid Stage: "This is the best fucking moment of my whole life!" She did admit that she was a ball of nerves in the days leading up to the show though, admitting to her fans that she had been randomly bursting into tears in the past 72 hours.

During her set, Adele performed her numerous hits (at one point, stopping "River Lea" to start over), brought a young fan up on stage with her, and generally brought a down to earth presence, much to the delight of fans at Glastonbury and those watching at home.
