London's premiere restaurant critic/YouTuber, The Chicken Connoisseur, is to host a new TV show in which he will seek to “find out what the pengest luxuries are in life.”
The Chicken Connoisseur, real name Elijah Quashie, will present The Peng Life on Channel 4 in the U.K. The show will involve Quashie reviewing high-end "elite" items, including food and fashion, before comparing them with cheaper "street" items, The Guardian reports. It is due to air before the end of the year though no specific air date is confirmed.
In a statement about his new venture, Quashie said: “On YouTube I do the chicken ting, but now on Channel 4 I’m reviewing everything. The cheapest stuff to the most expensive stuff. Basically the deadest stuff you’ll ever find to the most expensive, baller status stuff. I’ll see if it’s worth the moolah. Hold tight.”
The announcement of The Peng Life coincides with the publication of Quashie's first book, In Search of the Nation's 50 Favourite Chicken Establishments.
