Speaking with The FADER last year, Charlotte Day Wilson gave a short but revealing insight into the process behind her affecting soul music: "I think honesty ages well." Her hometown of Toronto seems to agree, after turning out in droves to hear songs from her breakout EP CDW at a recent massive local showcase for Red Bull Sound Select. Today, she's sharing a brand new track "Doubt," a gorgeous track that instantly finds a camaraderie with the listener in its warm and honest handling of regret.
“I wrote this song after a period of time where I had been traveling quite a bit for work," Wilson told The FADER over email. "I was reflecting on my relationship and realizing I’d been taking it for granted. This song was me trying to confront the things that I felt were holding me back and making it hard to feel deserving of love.” Listen to "Doubt" below.
