Eyedress and unlikely friend Eric Andre run and skate through the streets of Manila in the video for the Filipino producer's lo-fi new single "No Love In The City." Comedian Andre pops up in various scenes as Eyedress takes the viewer through a late night in his home town. The gonzo footage is shot in a grainy style matching the no-wave punk sound of the track.
Throughout the video we see late-night skating, bootleg designer clothes being sold out of markets, and adventures into the neon depths of local gaming arcades. It's a fun dive into a city that Eyedress reflects on differently in the song itself. "There's a new body almost every week, makes me sick" he sings over a Suicide-esque backdrop, screaming in frustration about life under the tyrannical President Rodrigo Duterte.
"No Love In The City" is the first Eyedress release of 2018 and is the start of a series of one-off releases planned for the year. Last year he dropped the Manila Ice album.
