Maggie Rogers premiered a new track titled "Light On" via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show on Wednesday. The breezy folk-pop record, carried by a thumping kick drum and a soft, subtle guitar melody, is Rogers's first release since sharing "Fallingwater" back in May. "Light On" will appear on the singer's upcoming debut album Heard It In A Past Life, which is due out in January.
Speaking with Lowe about the album on Wednesday, Rogers said, "I took my time with this record because I wanted to make sure that when came out, it was exactly what I wanted to say...And really also a reflection of where I am now, versus where I was two years ago with the [last] EP. "
