Ice Cube made a stop at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, performing his track “That New Funkadelic” alongside The Roots to celebrate the release of his new LP Everythang’s Corrupt. If the funk-laden band riffs and eclectically-dressed background vocalists didn't give it away, Ice Cube explained that the song took heavy inspiration from George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic. “It’s an homage to one of my favorite artists in the world,” he explained to Fallon earlier in the episode.

In addition to the album, the rapper has been busy with a number of projects, including his starring role in the revival of cult classic Celebrity Death Match, his Big3 Basketball League, and playing Scrooge in an upcoming A Christmas Carol remake, Humbug.
