We’re premiering the Florida native’s smoky new video.

Miami singer and songwriter Twelve’Len, with his smoky voice and slick, slow delivery, clearly follows in the lineage of classic R&B and soul musicians like Al Green and H-Town. Today, he shows just how much artists like those mean to him with a video for recent single “Loyal,” premiering today on The FADER, that pays homage to Green and H-Town. It’s just the latest chapter in the 27-year-old Floridian’s impressively fast come up; over the past couple of years, Twelve’Len has appeared in a GAP campaign, performed at Austin City Limits, and guested on fellow Miami musician Denzel Curry’s set during Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? tour.

“This video and record is an homage to H-Town and Al Green. I’ve picked up a lot from them artistically and personally,” Twelve’Len tells The FADER via email. “The past two years have been challenging and I have learned to be patient. I want my fans to listen and interpret ‘Loyal’ on their own while I pose the question: Do your actions determine your loyalty?”
