Phoebe Bridgers releases new video for “Sidelines”

Last month, Phoebe Bridgers released "Sidelines," her first original song since releasing Punisher in 2020. The song, written alongside Marshall Vore and Ruby Rain Henley, appears in Hulu's adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel Conversations with Friends. Today, Bridgers returns with a video for the song that includes footage of her recording the song interweaved with footage from the show. Check out the video below.

Currently, Bridgers is on a lengthy tour that that spans North America and Europe. Last month, she performed "Sidelines" at her Coachella debut and brought out Arlo Parks. Earlier this month, Bridgers shared her abortion story and urged her supporters to donate to pro-choice organizations after the leak of a Supreme Court decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade if enacted. She also pledged that a dollar from each ticket sold would go toward the Mariposa Fund, an abortion provider for undocumented people.

Last week, Bridgers joined Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, and more in backing Planned Parenthood's #BansOffOurBodies campaign by signing onto a full-page ad condemning the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that appeared in the New York Times.
