Shake The Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015-2021 features songs written for and between the rock band's three most recent albums Field of Love (2014), Beyondless (2018), and last year's Seek Shelter. The 12-song album also features covers of Bob Dylan's “I’ll Keep It With Mine” by Bob Dylan and Abner Jay’s “My Mule” alongside an acoustic recording of Seek Shelter track "Shelter Song."

In a statement, the band's Elias Bender Rønnenfelt compared the tracks on the compilation to "misfit children" and said "Shake The Feeling" didn't make the cut on Beyondless because it is too "happy go lucky."
