On Saturday (April 8) Doja Cat confirmed some new details on her forthcoming album, Hellmouth. Despite saying her follow-up to Planet Her would be "'90s rave-inspired " back in September, her tweets from last weekend describe Hellmouth as "rap only."

She continues, saying, "no more pop" and that "pop isn't exciting to me anymore. I don't wanna make it." When a naysayer quote tweeted Doja Cat with "At least she is aware she ain't a rapper," the artist clapped back, "I'm definitely a rapper."

Doja Cat also says that she wants to prove she doesn't only write "mid" and "corny" verses with her new album. "I wasn't trying to prove anything. I just enjoy making music," she tweets. "But I'm getting tired of hearing y'all say that I can't [rap] so I will."
