Report: Nicki Minaj swatted, callers falsely claimed child abuse and fire

The rap star was the latest victim of the anonymous prank.

Nicki Minaj is the latest celebrity to have fallen victim to some swatting pranks. Last Monday (June 5), an anonymous caller alleged that child abuse was happening at the rap star's home.

TMZ reported the deputies called it "a waste of time and resources" after visiting around 6 p.m. that night. Later around 3 a.m., a second prank emergency call was made claiming her house was on fire.

Nicki is reportedly in contact with lawyers to find the people behind the calls. The Queens emcee currently lives in a $10 million house in Los Angeles with her 2-year-old son, Papa Bear, and husband, Kenneth Petty. The FADER has reached out to Nicki Minaj's reps for comment.

In recent months, the rapper has been working on music. In March, Nicki Minaj unveiled her own record label before collaborating with the likes of YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ice Spice, and Kim Petras. Her new album is due this October.
