The upcoming album will be her first since 2018’s Queen, which featured the singles “Barbie Tingz,” and “Barbie Dreams.” Running with the Barbie theme, Minaj is due to appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming Margot Robbie movie, due next month.
Since releasing Queen five years ago, Minaj has kept her Barbz fed with a stream of new music. This year she has joined Sexyy Red for “Pound Town 2,” Kim Petras on “Alone,” and YoungBoy NBA for “WTF.” She also dropped solo track “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” in March and joined Ice Spice on a remix of "Princess Diana."
Minaj made her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty available for streaming in 2021 and, more recently, launched her own record label.
