Bob Marley’s story hits the big screen in the One Love trailer

The biopic is due to hit theaters early next year.

The first trailer for Bob Marley: One Love, a big screen biopic of the reggae singer, has been revealed. The movie is set to open in theaters on January 12 next year. Check out a preview above.

Bob Marley: One Love is officially sanctioned by Marley's family and, as shown in the trailer, touches on the period between a 1976 assassination attempt on his life and the One Love Peace Concert in Jamaica in 1978.

British actor Kingsley Ben-Adir plays Marley in the movie. He has previously portrayed Malcolm X in One Night in Miami... and Barack Obama in 2020 TV series The Comey Rule. He will next be seen in the Barbie movie.

Lashana Lynch plays Marley's wife Rita Marley while Mick Jagger is played by James Norton. Bob Marley: One Love is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green who helmed King Richard, the story of Richard Williams, father and longtime coach of Venus and Serena Williams.
