Gucci Mane is gearing up to release Breath of Fresh Air, the Atlanta rap legend’s new double album, on October 13. Unsurprisingly, it’s going to be a feature-heavy affair: Lil Baby (on “Bluffin“), 21 Savage and DaBaby (“06 Gucci”), and Nardo Wick and Roddy Ricch (“Pissy”) have all already appeared on tracks from the project. Today, what may be Fresh Air‘s biggest feature of them all drops: J. Cole, hopping on the track “There I Go” with a beat from Mike WiLL Made-It.
Cole’s verse isn’t particularly memorable — you get the sense that he’s a bit too relaxed — but Gucci swoops in with a swagger and charisma that endures even if he’s miles away from his sonic beginnings. Stream the new song below.
