Video: Drake f. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & Eminem, “Forever”

This is about as much of an event in the music video world as it gets these days. And it premiered on the internet as far as we’re concerned. Still can’t decide who has the best verse. Let us know in the comments.

Jeez man. We put him on the cover and all that, but who would’ve guessed Drake would captain a lineup like this with bro Boi 1da on the beat? Craziness. Look out for a fully remastered and high-quality version coming tomorrow.

Thisis50 just put up bootleg Nas’ Eminem’s 1996 debut album Infinite to hype the release of Relapse, which it actually is pretty successful at doing because it is not that good.

Reliving Our Youth Through This Weekend’s Rap Videos

Man oh man, nothing like a slew of rap videos from the class of 2004 and beyond to get us hopping on a Monday morning. We missed Eminem’s horror show on Skinemax Saturday night because no matter how vigorously they are tweaked the rabbit ears do not pick up pay channels. But, we did catch the web premieres of former/current Dipset members Cam’ron and Juelz (Juelz wins? Someone send us a sad Dipset emoticon). Then, after watching Inspectah Deck and Sean Price earn a paycheck, we tried to finish strong with Red Café’s new one, in which he promises to bring throwback jerseys back. Let’s do this! Kanye who!?

Freeload/Video: Eminem, “We Made You”

After reading this New York Magazine cover story about Facebook on the train this morning, and then watching Em’s new video, in which he does his old schtick taking out slow-moving targets, it dawned on us that in the few years since Encore, the snarky, narcissistic world/internet world of old has crumbled just enough to make the near sociopathic abuse of the Aftermath triumvirate (minus silent Dre, of course) feel a little bit out of touch. But hey, we wish them the best of luck!

Freeload: Eminem, “Number One” (prod Dr Dre)

From the new Big Mike & DJ Neptune mixtape 4th Quarter Pressure. Already speculation about it being from Detox since Em fills in for Dre on Dre’s verse. (via illRoots)

**Update** Already down! Not saying, just saying, don’t go searching for “Number One” when this is official because it’s officially going to be called something else.

We have to be honest, we never expected—actually we haven’t even been thinking about it—this to be this good. But it is. It’s really good.
