Video: Fabolous f. Keri Hilson, “Everything, Everyday, Everywhere”

Remember that time in 2nd grade when your parents came home with a Slip-N-Slide after seeing your sad attempts at making a bootleg one out of garbage bags held down with bricks? Remember how awesome that was? Remember how many glasses of Kool-Aid you slammed on the side of that shit? So good. Ryan Leslie turned it into a song (Still should’ve kept the talkbox though).

Total Freedom & Nguzunguzu, “Wildness (Club Vortex Mixtape)”

Club Vortex is a monthly held at Glasslands in NY where all manner of outré/vanguard worldwide dance musics are played, and prior to each episode the guest DJs make a mixtape. The next installment is Kingdom’s b-day, FADER fave Maluca is performing live (always a rad time) and guest DJs Total Freedom and Nguzunguzu from Los Angeles are bringing the vibe of their Wilderness party to the Brooklyn warehouse setting, which according to this mixtape may include the Keri Hilson vox from “Swag On” over some kind of organic sounding triple-syncopated kinda-ragga rhythms, a possible Bollywood track blended with maybe the song from the “Natasha!” scene in Party Girl, Nicki Minaj “Go Hard” with a total BK-style drumline backing track, and copious drops filtered through a witness-protection-program vocal converter. This is all speculation, not actual scientific tracklistage, but the tape is hot and when you go to the party this Friday, July 10th (details here), you will not be hearing anything boring, played, wack or 100% identifiable. Happy B-day Kingdom!

Freeload: Clipse f. Keri Hilson & Pharrell, “Eyes On Me” MP3

We’ll admit to being more than a little skeptical when Clipse said ’Til The Casket Drops wouldn’t be the all-Neptunes affair their prior albums had been, but having now heard three songs and two of them being Neptunes-produced, either our skepticism was well-founded or they were bullshitting. Regardless, we posted tagged up version of this a couple weeks ago, but this is the official jam. Might we also suggest Clipse hand Ryan Leslie a dusty check for the “Something That I Like” beat that Pusha recently guested on? Judging by history, that song won’t be on a Leslie album until 2017.

Freeload: Keri Hilson f. The Clipse, “Eyes On Me” Produced by The Neptunes MP3

“Drop down and get your eagle on!” Oh wait, that’s a different song. And generally just a different era. One where Drake was still a teenage Canadian TV star, Keri Hilson was a songwriter for Ciara, Clipse were languishing and angry and the Neptunes were on the cover of FADER. It’s always trite to pine for a gilded past, but “Eyes On Me” is giving us a rap/R&B collabo hankering. Not to say that this song isn’t good, it is, it’s just not great. I like them fast girls/ who like them fast cars. Cool, good to know. That bubble effect over Keri Hilson’s verse is cool, though. Oh also we heard Mike Jones is jacked now, welcome to the future.

Exclusive Stream: DJ Skee & DJ Drama Present R. Kelly, My Demo Tape

The thing about R. Kelly singing/rewording/remixing today’s popular hits is that he kind of bests them. This is not a surprise, considering it’s, you know, ROBERT MFing KELLY, but it breathes new life into songs you maybe thought you hated because the radio plays them 74 times an hour. (NYC morning radio rotation: “Birthday Sex,” “Best I Ever Had,” “Knock You Down.” Repeat.) Of course Kellz kicks it off with The-Dream’s “Kelly’s 12 Play” because the man will never refuse an opportunity to be meta. This is Drama’s best Gangsta Grillz in a hot minute, no?

Video: Ryan Leslie Just Made a Beautiful Baby With Fabolous

Do we need to pause on that? It’s intentionally put that way. Just saying, the song, to be called “Your Baby” according to Eskay, is crazy and also features a hook provided by the rainmaker, FADER #52 cover star Keri Hilson, she of the top 10 album even though it came out almost a year after we thought it would. This video makes us happy because we’ve been saying for a while now that Leslie should be making summer jams for top flight NY rappers (Jim Jones’ “Precious” doesn’t count), and though Fab is not exactly expected to light up Billboard, we do portend quite a few impromptu dance parties in the coming months whenever this blasts from passing cars. Also, Leslie claims the talkbox isn’t on the final record and that is just not wise.

Video: Keri Hilson f. Kanye West and Ne-Yo, “Knock You Down”

How amazing is it that Keri Hilson’s album actually came out? No offense to the label, but we thought it would never happen. Congrats, Keri. Here’s the video for “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West in a jean jacket doing high school underdog raps and Ne-Yo singing the line I used to be the commander-in-chief on my pimp ship. Go for it, Ne-Yo.

Video: Keri Hilson, “Make Love” (co-starring Kanye West)

This is the kind of thing that makes it really hard to sympathize with Kanye when tries to explain why he slapped a photographer because it’s hard to be a celebrity. We’re assuming he got paid to have Keri Hilson fake-makeout with him. Great! What’s next? He gets to exchange his dollars for superdollars worth ten times as much? Anyway, Keri Hilson’s long-awaited album (we put her on the cover over a year ago for it) is finally out on March 24th — perfect timing for getting your own Kanye/Keri rub-a-dub going.

Video: Keri Hilson f. Lil Wayne, “Turnin Me On”

The moral of this video: if you are a dude and not wearing a shirt and are sort of sweaty and rubbing your chest tats on FADER 51 cover star Keri Hilson’s first-90210-era Shannen Doherty bustier, you’re probably not going to get too far into the boobie-hula before Ms. Hilson starts reading you pages from the Don’t Be a Douche handbook, even if you are fine as hell. However, if you are a swag-tsunami’ing, glistening-mouthed rapper approximately five feet shorter than Keri Hilson, she will let you rub her leg on the sectional, if you sing her name in your signature melody (”It’s Keri, babaaay”). We love the drama of the small screen, almost as much as we love this track. Bonus: you can cancel your Amber Alert on Rich Boy! He cameos.

Video: Keri Hilson f. Timbaland, “Return the Favor”

It took a minute, but FADER Number 51, our Now Issue from earlier this year featuring Santogold and Keri Hilson on the covers, is coming to fruition. Santi’s obviously had a pretty good year, and now Hilson is jamming hard in the 4th quarter, following up the physically fit “Energy” video with this one, which has extended Timbaland-in-a-La-Z-Boy segments. HOTTTT.
