Video: Teyana Taylor, “Google Me”

Because of singer-rapper-style maven Teyana Taylor, “google me” has replaced “WHAT” as both an all-purpose catchphrase, and as a comeback when anyone is tryna bust on us. i.e. “Can you get that paperwork to me, stat?” Response: “I been putting that paperwork on your desk, hoss! Google me!” OR: “Hey shawty you lookin fiiiine today.” Response: “Google me, suga pie.”

So imagine our delight when Teyana’s video debuted with all the saltitude and bright brightness we have come to expect from our fave uptown teen superstar: alternately dressed as a prom princess, an ice-cream truck worker and a pirate.

AND. In case you missed FADER’s on-set interview from the filming of “Google Me,” clickle it here, petit friendsicles!

FADER TV: Behind the Scenes at Teyana Taylor’s “Google Me” Video

After meeting her for our FADER 51 Gen F, we have decided that all people should be as fun and cool as Teyana Taylor. So when she invited us over to watch her film her new video for “Google Me,” we of course said yes. And then we met her mom Nikki and decided that her mom should be our mom. So there you go. In the above video, FADER TV goes behind the scenes with Teyana, Nikki and some fierce catwalking dudes for our exclusive first look.

Audio: Teyana Taylor, “Google Me”

We spoke to Teyana Taylor for our current issue and, um, we’re pretty sure she is the future not only on some “children are our future” but on some turn the 8 in 2008 on its side and right now is infinity and we are there and here and now and always. She is all places at all times, zooming past cool and sly. If you did not know, she has encouraged you to google her, because you will find out that we are correct and eons are colliding up in Harlem when she opens her mouth because there is little better. Take our word for it and/or read Teyana’s Gen F after the jump and see some of Marvi Lacar’s incredible photo outtakes.
