People (us and everyone else) have been wondering why anyone in his or her right mind would assemble this song, let alone make it the lead single for Gucci’s new album. BUT, having now watched this video twice through, it is clearly just a means to this hilarious visual end. It’s like, look how not bummed Gucci is when Eddie Murphy’s daughter busts him in the club partying with Nicki Minaj. Look how not bummed Gucci is when he’s dancing with Usher. Look how extremely not bummed Gucci is wearing a chain that is a claw from one of those stupid toy vending machines that are impossible. Gucci is so not bummed with all of it that we’re just going to call him Doctor Not Bummed from now on. Paging Doctor Not Bummed, there is a record label hemorrhaging money, please report to the ATM stat.

Fire! But he’s perhaps best known for his session talents on the talkbox. Not the currently inescapable T-Pain style autotune software, but the honest to goodness Roger Troutman spit tube TALKBOX. You could do worse things with your Friday morning than checking out dude’s mouth music on this cover of Usher’s “Love In This Club”—not that we’re prone to hyperbole or anything, but the Jeezy section is life changing.

Now that R Kelly is, um, preoccupied, someone’s going to have to fill the void of double-time half-time club R&B. Usher can’t approach the sheer eccentricity of Kellz, but if he keeps putting out songs like the Kelly-biting “Echo,” and “Dat Girl Right There” and that one song that we’re not sure anyone has heard called “In This Club,” then we’ll be able to wait until the hopefully 100% done and in the chamber 12 Play: Fourth Quarter comes out this summer.
