Live: FADER 69 Release Party

Last Friday, we gathered ourselves and a whole lot of our friends and tromped over to Dame Dash's Tribeca Gallery to celebrate the release of our Fall Fashion issue, featuring art and complimentary Budweiser. It was also Fashion's Night Out, but our primary focus was on welcoming our superhuman coverman Spoek Mathambo (possessor of impeccable style, it should be noted) to New York for the very first time. Barely off the plane, he was a gleaming comet of a performer, ruling the basement gallery with a popping selection of global dance jams and supernatural raps. Then Araabmuzik, Dipset's resident beat wunderkind, set up his MPCs and broke the light barrier with the speed of his hands, literally blowing apart the speakers with his mach bass levels. Between the velocity of Araabmuzik's digits and the electricity of Spoek's whole vibe, we are frankly shocked that we are still able to see anything but blasts of white light at this point—nevertheless, we're still reeling from the radness of the night. Peep some pics after the jump, and check back tomorrow for video evidence.
