Halls has been in our heads for two weeks now, reigning over our iPods after contributing a remix to Gold Panda's flawless Marriage EP. With his new three-song "Solace" single, whose title track is featured above, London's Halls takes his slow-burning, can't-not-mention-Burial sound from minimal knocking percussion to beat-less, his distant voice moaning mostly unintelligibly over top. It's the type of slow-flowing release that, left on repeat mode, would turn 12 minutes of window-staring to 120, if it weren't for our interrupting phone alarm, whose "Bell Tower" sounded almost intentional enough to leave running a little extra.
