Stream: Linda Perhacs, “River of God”

Listen to the lead single from The Soul Of All Natural Things, the 2014 comeback record from 1970s outsider folk legend Linda Perhacs.

Linda Perhacs, the ambrosia-throated, California-based dental hygienist who released seminal outsider folk records Parallelograms in 1970, is back to making music again. She just announced a string of West Coast tourdates, and has an original album, The Soul Of All Natural Things, slated for release via Asthmatic Kitty on March 4th. Here's the dreamy lead single, "River of God," which was co-written by Fernando Perdomo and Chris Price, and nixes the finger-plucked simplicity of yesteryear Perhacs for an amniotic and enveloping, full band sound. Tourdates below.
