“Get Ya Money,” an August Alsina mixtape cut, gets revamped with a verse from Fabolous for his forthcoming debut album.

April 10, 2014

Forever a constant in this chaotic world: Fabolous contributing kinda-goofy guest verses on otherwise excellent R&B songs. (There's a lot New Orleans-born sensitive thug August Alsina has learned from former Radio Killa Records label boss The-Dream, and it seems he's a sucker for fairly gratuitous Loso features too.) "Get Ya Money" originally appeared, sans Fab, on Alsina's great 2013 tape The Product 2—with Dun Deal production credits before the "Stoner" producer's name was on everyone's lips—but he's revamping it for inclusion on his debut studio album, Testimony. It's certainly worth another shot: a twinkling, feminist ballad to hustling-ass women. Testimony is out April 15.
