FKA Twigs, Björk, Damon Albarn, Gerhard Richter, and Nico Muhly are among the big-name artists who will be participating in this year's Manchester International Festival, according to the schedule released Thursday. Twigs will be hosting a seven residency, during which time she'll premiere seven short films; Björk is scheduled to perform a one-off show; Albarn and Muhly have contributed music to two different theatrical pieces; and Richter will be exhibiting new work inspired by Estonian composer Arvo. The festival—which is devoted to showing "new works by leading artists and innovators of our time, drawn from across the broadest range of human creativity," according to festival director Alex Poots—runs July 2 to July 18. Tickets go on sale March 6.
