After screenings at both Sundance in Berlin and SXSW just a couple days ago, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck will be getting a limited theatrical release in Los Angeles, New York City, and Cobain's hometown Seattle on April 24th (via Billboard). It will also be released in 72 other countries beginning April 10th. This limited release of Brett Morgen's film makes it eligible for a potential Academy Award nomination in the Best Documentary Feature category. For those not living in these three cities the Montage of Heck premieres May 4th on HBO. And if you don't get HBO either, don't worry—a DVD release is planned for November.
