Bay Area rapper A-1 has dropped a video for "Unpredictable (The Repo Man)," his rework of Kaytranada and Mr. Carmack's "Ones" and the latest single of his mixtape Thurlian. The song has Mr. Carmack's stamp of approval—"I shot him the track and a year later he sent me a finished version and it was tight, I loved it"—and it's a wash of ethereal jazz and introspection. The accompanying visual is, in A-1's words, a relatively meditative riff on 80s cult classic from which the song takes its title: "It's based on the last scene of the movie," he tells FADER, "where the main character hops into an alien car and rides off into the abyss of the city night."
