The Twin Peaks reboot has been left as a question mark ever since David Lynch announced that he wouldn't be directing when Showtime didn't offer him "enough money" to "do the script the way [he] felt it needed to be done." But now Lynch has confirmed that a new series is in fact still happening. Tonight he took to Twitter to set the record straight: "Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!!," he wrote. "Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network." Showtime confirmed the news and announced that Lynch was back as director tweeting, "It's happening again!! #Showtime will be serving up some #damngoodcoffee! #TwinPeaks returns with @DAVID_LYNCH & @mfrost11." Lynch and Showtime must have received the message when the show's cast put together a video plea about what Twin Peaks would be like without David Lynch. Well, that or Showtime just came up with more money. No word on an airdate yet but stay posted.
