Kaytranada Remixed Jamie Woon’s “Sharpness”

After a long hiatus, Jamie Woon reemerged last fall with Making Time, his first record in four years. He suggested that the new album was largely inspired by D'Angelo. "Sharpness," a light funk tune, served as the first single.

Kaytranada put his own spin on Woon's song and shared the rework today on SoundCloud. The producer's main alteration is in the rhythm section, especially the drums, which play a sharp breakbeat. Kaytranada labelled the song "#breakdance." "UNRELEASED 2015," he added. "UNTIL NOW. (drums by BBNG)."
