T.I. Teases New Bankroll Mafia Project

Something for next Friday.

April 15, 2016

T.I. has positioned this stage of his career as a time to give back to his longtime fans. "People were patient enough," he told The FADER last year. "They stayed and waited and tolerated the 'Blurred Lines' and the 'My Love' and the 'Whatever You Like' and so on and so forth. At this point in my career, if I make an album that’s dedicated to them, that’s an ode to the music that they and only they want to hear me make—if there’s only five of them, if those five motherfuckers are the ones who kept me here long enough to be on my tenth album, then I should be dedicating this tenth album to them."

In addition, to his solo material, he's also been working with Bankroll Mafia, which included Young Thug, Shad Da God, and Peewee Roscoe (now facing jail time). The group appears to have something new in the works: T.I. posted a photo on Instagram last night with no information other than a caption that reads "4:22." On Wednesday, the MC tweeted "video/album comin," and Shad echoed the sentiment on Instagram: "#BANKROLLMAFIA album coming soon."
