Desiigner has been accused of more than a passing resemblence to Future ever since “Panda” broke the charts open. He's mocked the similarities with the self-conscious sensibility popularized by Drake, and even brazenly named a new song “Pluto,” the same title as Future's studio album. Now that “Panda” is officially the number one song in the United States, you can expect the comparisons to come fast and from unexpected places.

Take Jermaine Dupri, producer and So So Def CEO, who posted the above video to his Twitter page along with a separate Tweet calling the beats “the exact same.” The tempos are similar, sure, and they could even be in the same key. But is it really a duplicate, or just under the same umbrella of ATL-inspired production?
