In the first seven days after the release of Drake's VIEWS, the album set a streaming record, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, sold more than a million album-equivalent units, and helped the rapper set a new high-water mark for simultaneous Hot 100 appearances with 20. As the star joked in a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, "it's been a slow week." (For what it's worth, gamers love Drake too.)
Today Billboard confirmed that VIEWS helped Drake achieve another milestone this month: he passed Justin Bieber as the most-streamed artist on Spotify. In 2015, before VIEWS came out, the rapper was already Spotify's most-streamed artist globally, topping Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd.
