A Brief Guide To Everything Good At Glastonbury 2016

Adele headlined, Grimes killed it, and it got really muddy.

A crowd of 150,000 people sang "Sometime Like You" with Adele.

Headlining for the first time, Adele completely stole the show. On Saturday June 25, her self-assured performance on the Pyramid Stage included all the hits, plenty of swearing, and a bit where she wore a fez.

Olly Alexander of Years & Years encouraged everyone to "shove a rainbow in fear's face."
Meanwhile, Coldplay turned to Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees for a guest spot as they closed the festival on Sunday night.

...And the hero we lost this year was remembered.

A tribute to David Bowie was visible on top of the Pyramid Stage for the whole weekend.

The Ziggy Stardust lightning bolt was designed by sculptor Joe Rush, who told The Guardian: “It felt important to capture Bowie’s very particular eye, which was such a part of his look. But I also really liked the idea of Bowie looking out and watching over the whole festival. And if we are going to have an eye in the pyramid, it should be Bowie’s eye.” When Adele, Muse and Coldplay take to the stage, he'll be watching over the enormous crowds."
