Artist, rapper, and producer Cities Aviv (a.k.a. Gavin Mays) has been home in Memphis for the past year working on a new project. Today Cities Aviv is sharing what Mays told The FADER over email is "a teaser of new works for 2016 and 2017." The teaser comes in the form of an iPhone-style video called "Walk," featuring a shadowy figure running through the street away from the camera while Mays raps over woozy instrumentals and slowed-down vocal references to Isaac Hayes's 1969 cover of Dionne Warwick's "Walk On By."

"'Walk' was shot recently in L.A. and the track is lifted from upcoming Cities Aviv album sessions," Mays continued in his note to The FADER. "Everything that I want say about the track is within the track itself. This was mine and now it's yours."

This Sunday night, August 21, Cities Aviv returns to New York to headline for the first time in a minute at Brooklyn venue Trans Pecos — catch him there to hear material from his new project.
