To commemorate the 5th anniversary reissue of his debut album Bad Vibes, L.A.-based beatmaker Shlohmo has shared a new-old track titled “11_9_10," ahead of the release of a deluxe version of the LP. Recorded during sessions from over half a decade ago — and never before released — it’s a trip down memory lane. Shlohmo lays out a melodic and warm soundscape, textured with hollow wooden beats and gorgeous piano notes.

Reminiscing in an email to The FADER, Shlohmo writes, “I was 20 years old living in San Francisco, working on my first LP, Bad Vibes. This was one of those tracks that never made it out. Now that it’s been 5 years since the release of Bad Vibes, and 6 years since I made most of these songs, I wanted to go back into these old files and share the unfinished B-sides that no one got to hear."

Friends of Friends will release a 3-disc reissue of Bad Vibes this November 11, including a 12" of unreleased, rare, and extra material. Preorder it here.
