Here’s Everything That’s Happening At Chance The Rapper’s Magnificent Coloring Day Festival

Way back in July, Chance The Rapper announced Magnificent Coloring Day, his first-ever music festival. Now, the day has come, the lineup is set (read: John Legend, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Skrillex,Young Thug, Tyler The Creator, and more), and the one-day concert, which will take place on Chicago's South Side at the White Sox's U.S. Cellular Field, is officially sold out.

This post will be updated throughout the event as information becomes available.

Update (1:15 p.m.): Chance has announced an official Magnificent Coloring Day afterparty at Chicago's Studio Paris. The festival ends at 11:30 p.m.


Update (2:07 p.m.): Francis and The Lights are first on-stage, playing songs from their new album, Farewell, Starlite!, which dropped 30 minutes before their set.

Update (2:19 p.m.): Frequent Chance The Rapper collaborator Donnie Trumpet makes a special appearance.


Update (2:30 p.m.): Chance The Rapper popped on stage to do the choreography from Francis and the Lights' lead single, "Friends."

Update (3:08 p.m.): Lil Uzi Vert's performance was supposed to begin at 2:45 p.m. EST, but has yet to start.

Update (3:19 p.m.): Lil Uzi Vert's set has started!

Update (4:31 p.m.): Tyler The Creator has taken the stage to his version of Kanye West's "Freestyle 4". He was supposed to follow Young Thug.

There's no word on whether Young Thug will perform.

Update (5:14 p.m.): Kanye West has made a surprise appearance.

The crowd freaked out, accordingly. Note: He's due to appear at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena in a few hours.

West performed a super condensed set of "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," "Pt. 2," his verse from Schoolboy Q's "THat Part," "All Day," "Black Skinhead," "Can't Tell Me Nothin'," "All Falls Down," "Gold Digger," "Touch The Sky," and finally, "Ultralight Beam," which Chance The Rapper came out to perform alongside him.

Update (5:55 p.m.): John Legend has taken the stage with a full band backing him.


Update (6:31 p.m.): John Legend brought out Common to perform their Academy Award-winning song, "Glory," from the film, Selma.

Common said the names of Chicago's shooting victims, including Laquan McDonald and Rekia Boyd.

Update (6:40 p.m.): Hannibal Burress makes a surprise appearance.

His opening line: "I do standup comedy, and Kanye West and John Legend just opened for me."

Update (7:00 p.m.): Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz (Collegrove) have taken the stage.

The pair also brought out Chicago Bulls shooting guard, Jimmy Butler.

Update (8:48 p.m.): Alicia Keys has taken the main stage now.

Chance brought out Francis and the Lights and the Chicago Children's Choir.
