G.L.O.S.S. Announce Decision To Split

G.L.O.S.S., the Olympia-based hardcore band with multiple trans members, has announced its decision to split up. The group announced their news with a statement on Maximum Rocknroll in which they explained that the "mental and physical" health of the band's members was being compromised, as well as pointing to wider ideological issues that their recent rise in profile has brought.

“The punk we care about isn’t supposed to be about getting big or becoming famous, it’s supposed to be about challenging ourselves and each other to be better people,” part of the statement reads. You can read the full statement here.

G.L.O.S.S. will play live at Not Dead Yet Fest in Toronto in October and are planning a final show too. Details of that have not yet been confirmed. Proceeds from the band's two EPs, 2015's Demo and 2016 release Trans Day Of Revenge, will be donated to the Interfaith Works Emergency Overnight Shelter in Olympia.
